TAIYUAN, China Nov 14, 2023 /AsiaNet=연합뉴스/-- Shanxi exported 116.81 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in the first three quarters of this year, up 10.9% year-on-year, which hit a record high for the same period.
While ensuring the stable and orderly supply of electricity in the province, the State Grid Shanxi Electric Power Company promotes the joint efforts of power source, grid, load and storage, flexibly organizes trans-provincial and trans-regional power transaction and transmission, gives full play to the advantages of "medium and long-term + spot + auxiliary service" power market system, stimulates the peak power generation of units through the inter-provincial and intra-provincial spot markets, and the medium and long-term power transaction of "Power transmission from Shanxi " is extended to more than 10 provinces such as Hunan and Sichuan as well as the capital Beijing. The Statistics Bureau of Shanxi Province reported that in the first three quarters of this year, the total power generation in Shanxi Province was 322.98 billion kWh, up 4.7% year-on-year, of which 116.81 billion kWh was transmitted to other places, exceeding the scale in the first 10 months of last year.
Shanxi Power Grid is an important part of "Power Transmission from West to East" and "Power Transmission from North to South", which connects the North, East and Central China, and undertakes the important task of sending electricity to Beijing, Hebei, Jiangsu and Hubei and other places. According to statistics, the cumulative power generation in Shanxi was 415.33 billion kWh in 2022, of which 146.37 billion kWh was transmitted to other places.
