HEZE, China Oct. 1, 2024 /AsiaNet=연합뉴스/ -- On Sept. 28, embassies of various Asian countries in Romania hosted the Asia Cultural Festival at Bucharest Village Museum, aiming to showcase the charm and splendor of Asian culture to the world.
Invited by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Romania, the Publicity Department of the CPC Heze Municipal Committee collaborated with the Confucius Institute at the University of Bucharest to create a Chinese cultural exhibition area themed around peonies. The display featured peony-themed calligraphy and painting, paper-cutting, embroidery, and rope weaving to comprehensively expound the culture of Chinese peonies to the local audience, highlight the allure of Heze peonies, and celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Han Chunlin, Chinese ambassador to Romania, and Traian Lauren?iu Hristea, state secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited the exhibition area to engage in interaction and exchange.
An official from the Publicity Department of the CPC Heze Municipal Committee stated that Heze currently boasts a whole industrial chain of the peony industry, with over 120 enterprises engaged in the production, processing, and export of various peony products. More than 260 types of peony products have been developed, including peony seed oil, peony tea, peony daily chemicals, and peony biopharmaceuticals, with exports reaching over 30 countries and regions such as the United States, France, Germany, and Japan. In 2023, the total output value hit 10.8 billion yuan.
